Do not generalize the island exemption
The airport’s guidance describes a Phu Quoc-specific exemption of up to 30 days for eligible island visits. It is not general permission to travel around mainland Vietnam. Verify the conditions for your passport, routing and onward journey with immigration authorities and your airline.
Check connections before purchase
If your route enters through another Vietnamese airport, establish where you clear immigration and whether you leave the transit area. A domestic connection, overnight stop or separately ticketed journey can change the document requirements.
Use the government application route
When an e-visa is required, use the official immigration portal and check every name, passport detail, validity date and permitted entry point before travel. This website does not issue visas or decide admission. Assistance services cannot remedy an invalid visa at the border.
